1847 - Alexander Graham Bell - Telephone
Bell was a scottish - born American scientist and inventor, most famous for his pioneering work on the development of the telephone.
Alexander Graham Bell was born on 3 March 1847 in Edinburg and educated there and in London. His father and grandfather were both autohorities on elocution and at the age of 16 Bell himself began researching the mechanics of speech. In 1870, Bell emigrated with his family to Canada, and the following year he moved to the United States to teach. There he pioneered a system called visible speech, developex by his father, to teach deaf mute children. In 1872 Bell founded a school in Boston to train teachers of the deaf. The school subsequently became part of Boston University, where Bell was appointed professor of vocal physiology in 1873. He became a naturalised U.S. Citizen in 1882.
1797 - Richard Trevithick - Locmotive
He worked at the Ding dong mines and that is where he workes on building and modifying steam engines. He built his first full sized steam locomotive in 1801, and called it the puffing devil. He showed it on cristmas Eve by carrying several men up fore street and continuing on. After further test of the pufiing devil ot broke down after three days. He continued on improving it though. In 1808 Richard built a locomotive called.
1800 - Henry Ford
The automobile was first invented and perfected in Germany and France in the late 1800s, though Americans quickly came to dominate the automotive industry in the first half of the twentieth century. Henry Ford innovated mass production techniques that became standard, and Ford, General Motors and Chrlyslen emerged as the "Big Three" auto companies by the 1920s.
